Composition

Each 5 ml contains

Ibuprofen 100 mg
Paracetamol 162.5 mg

Description

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs known as Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug(NSAID), and is a clinically proven anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic. Ibuprofen is a propionic acid derivative and one of the safest NSAID.

Dolomec suspension is very widely used because it offers very good analgesic and antipyretic action of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) combined with excellent analgesic, anti-inflammatory activity of Ibuprofen.

Dolomec Suspension acts at two levels. Paracetamol acts centrally and Ibuprofen acts peripherally providing effective control of Pain, Fever and Inflammation.

  • High Grade fever & body ache
  • Pharyngitis
  • Tonsillitis
  • Post operative inflammation and pain
  • Wounds
  • Injuries
  • Fractures, Sport injuries
  • Dental pain and Dental extraction

Dosage and Administration

Children : 1/2 – 1 teaspoonful 3 or 4 times a day.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol / Ibuprofen
  • Severe Acid peptic ulcer disease

Warning

“ Bronchospasm may be precipitated in patients suffering from or with a previous history of bronchial asthma. Ibuprofen should not be given to patients in whom aspirin and other non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs induce the symptoms of asthma, rhinitis or urticaria”

Adverse Effects

Dolomec is usually well tolerated; few patients may have mild epigastric pains. In few patients of bronchial asthma, an attack of bronchial asthma may be precipitated.
